Pastor, Friendship Baptist Church

Pastor C. Paul McBride serves as the senior pastor of Friendship Baptist Church of the Colony, TX.

Coupled with the support of his wife Ida, Pastor Paul has been the senior pastor of this thriving Dallas suburb church since 1983. He was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1981 after serving as a Deacon at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Garland, TX.

Humility, compassion and integrity best describe the ministry of Pastor C. Paul McBride. Since his installation, the church membership has grown from 16 to more than 2000 members. Under his leadership, the church has over 40 ministries that meet the diverse needs of the congregation and community.

Pastor Paul’s ministry extends beyond the walls of the Friendship Baptist Church into the metroplex area. Pastor McBride has served as President to the African American Fellowship for two terms. He has also served as chairman of the Nominating Committee at Denton Baptist Association. Pastor Paul has traveled extensively around the United States and throughout the world. In 2006 he presented a paper on “The Church and Government” at the Oxford Round Table, Oxford, England.

Since 1981, Pastor Paul has devoted his life to winning lost souls for the kingdom. Countless testimonies attest to his passion to develop dynamic disciples who will impact the world for Jesus in such a way that families are strengthened, broken hearts are healed and those who are bound are set free.

Dr. C. Paul McBride holds a Bachelor Degree in Christian Education and Master of Theology degree from Trinity Valley Baptist Seminary. He also holds a Doctor of Theology from Andersonville Baptist Seminary.

Pastor Paul and his wife are the proud parents of three children, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
